New Ford Ranger from Richardson Ford
The all-new Ford Ranger has been ruthlessly tested: in some of the most hostile environments, under extreme temperatures, and across the harshest terrain on earth. So it’s ready for whatever challenge you set it.
The latest model is also more powerful than ever before. This extra power is delivered by a new line-up of advanced Duratorq diesel engines, which can help you transport a payload of up to 1,340 kg and tow up to 3,350 kg. At the same time, they offer improved fuel economy and meet Euro Stage V emissions standards.
The new Ranger is the first pick-up ever to have achieved a prestigious Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating.
Its interior may be comfortable and relaxing, but the Ranger is a vehicle designed primarily for work. With class-leading payload and towing capability, along with a range of features and accessories to manage all kinds of load, it’s a very practical choice. And with new, lower cost-of-ownership figures, it’s a good choice financially, too.
Load Management
The new Ranger offers a variety of ways to keep all kinds of loads safe and secure.
Versatile, lockable pick-up box for peace of mind
The new Ranger's pick-up box can carry a standard Euro pallet, the tools of your trade, or all you need for a weekend camping trip. It also offers a number of ways to keep your load safe, all of which are DIN compliant. They include sturdy tie-down hooks, an integrated load rest, and (on some models) exterior rope rails. For security and peace of mind, the tailgate can be locked and unlocked manually.
Sturdy tie-downs for a safer loadTo help carry your load safely, these tie-downs can be internal or external and the number varies according to cab type. All are DIN compliant.
Lockable roller shutter secures and protects cargoAvailable on Wildtrak models, this feature provides extra security for cargo in the pick-up bed. It can be locked in three different positions, is water resistant and is sturdy enough to withstand another half-tonne load on top of it.
Convenient 12 volt power socket Standard on XLT, Limited and Wildtrak versions, where a bedliner is fitted, the socket is located conveniently in the pick-up box area, so you can run a fridge or other electrical appliance.
Cargo Management System for loads of all sizes The system has two rails (one down each side of the load box), with two adjustable cleats on each side. These can be moved along to suit the size of load.
Secure load rest To make sure everything stays where you put it, the pick-up box walls are not only higher, but they also incorporate tie-down hooks, an integrated load rest and two pivoting guides mounted, for long objects, on the rear structure. (Check models for availability.)
Integrated load box enhances design Each cab type has a unique load box that curves slightly at the top to integrate with the cab itself. This adds to the Ranger's bold, streamlined design.
