Bringing An Old Car Back to Life
The Story behind Joe’s Car ………..
‘Bringing An Old Car Back to Life’
MK5 Ford Fiesta Zetec S.
Original REG: W281 PBU
In September 2015, without a second hesitation Joe Rex and his mum Kylie (current owner) decided that they were NOT going to scrap their MK5 Ford Fiesta Zetec S even though it was fairly described as ‘rotten’.
Instead Jo decided to use all his savings and offered all his spare time to help the team in the Bridlington Bodyshop refurbish her.
First task was to repair all the rear end, floor and all safety related items to get her through the MOT. Then followed the fun bits, new wheels a splash of colour, a private number plate and her new name ‘Little S’. Once Joe started his apprenticeship in the Bridlington Service Department he was able to transform her new look even further with more bodywork, finished doors, roof bonnet, wings and bumpers. She really was looking the business!!
Many enthusiasts and other MK5 owners having been following the progression of the repairs undertaken by the Bodyshop Team at Richardson Ford Bridlington and Jo with great interest.
Jo, Kylie and ‘Little S’ have been greatly welcomed by East Yorkshire RS Owners and GS Motorsport Graham Hopper at various events this year and found themselves appearing in many photographs and social media sites.
Now a whole year on she has been ranked as one of the top MK5 Fiesta’s in the UK and is now famous across the country.
Joe is due to become the proud 18th proud owner of ‘Little S’ in February 2016 on his 17th birthday and would like to thank the Bridlington Bodyshop Team for all their dedication and support in repairing ‘Little S’.
